Stopped in today! Alexandra, the owner was so bright and cheery. Her pastries and coffee are incredible. She makes everything from scratch and creates such a warm friendly environment! I highly reccomend to stop in and try this French corner cafe !

The food is ALWAYS delicious!! The cafe is quaint and gives you a flavor of a little cafe in France! I love the mocha lattes, mushroom quiche and chocolate eclairs!the atmosphere charming and close to the beach! One thing I would add is soft French music in the background to even enrich the experience more of a touch of France in downtown Carlsbad! Love this place!!
Divinely delicious! By far the best French bakery I’ve been to outside of France. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and high standards of making the food properly. The lemon bar was the perfect consistency made with fresh lemons, and smooth pastry. The croissants were heavenly, cloud soft. And the quiche!!! The caprese quiche was sinfully silky and full of flavour. Anywhere else in the States, these dishes are dried out, over cooked, and greasy. The only American part were the portion sizes. In France it would have half the amount for double the price. You cannot forget the coffee! The espresso was timed perfectly, none of the burnt aftertaste from poorly prepared espresso shots. Even a lifelong barista/coffee connoisseur was impressed. All of it was absolute perfection.
Exactly the light lunch with interesting coffee and pastries we were looking for! Pleasant, theme appropriate music, not too loud. Everything very fresh and tasty. Staff super helpful, kind and patient!
Very good French restaurant. They have food, pastry and coffee. The make all pastry in house and they tend to run out of pastry toward the end of the day. It is worth trying their pastry and coffee if you are on the area. Highly recommend them.
I feel like I'm in Paris alright, with indifferent service and a slightly old, dirty interior. The cappuccino was awesome though and although I didn't get any food items personally, my companions seemed to enjoy their pastries. It was pretty busy and we were indirectly rushed to leave sooner than we'd have liked by the staff. I'd still go back though, friendly service is an overrated American thing, and quality of food/drink is always top priority.
One of my FAVORITE cafe’s!! The staff is hust LOVELY. Even the air when you walk in, is amazing. It’s warm and buttery like one of their freshly baked croissant they sell. I come here to grab pastries for events and an iced latte when I need a treat. The espresso based drinks are the smoothest and best I’ve ever had from anywhere in the world. ( Including Italy & France!) They source their espresso from an Oakland roaster that is a multigenerational family with its roots in Italy. Simply the best!
